Money does buy you some happiness
“Money doesn’t buy you happiness…” – the famous phrase that generally comes from people who have no money to justify the fact that they don’t have money.
Yes sure – money ALONE doesn’t buy you happiness.
But if you are honest with yourself – are you happy when you don’t have money?
Are you happy when the middle of the month comes and you have bills piling up, you stress up to your eyeballs because you are so deep in shit that you can barely breathe from anxiety?
And neither is your family. When you are stressed, your family and the people around you can feel this tension. It doesn’t only affect you but it affects the people around you.
Let’s compare having money to not having any money:
Looking at this comparison I would much rather be on the left side than be on the right side.
People who tell you that money doesn’t buy happiness are usually people who have no money themselves. They just say this to justify the fact that they don’t have money.
Choose who you listen to and choose who you believe.
Money alone will never buy you happiness, but money with other factors will definitely buy you happiness. Each person is different. What makes one person happy, won’t necessarily make others happy as well.
Here’s an example:
Some people are happy when they can help others with charities. Well if you have money, you can do even more for charities which in turn makes you happier.
Some people are happy when they can help animals. Once again – you can be happier when you have money to spend on these acts.
If you tell yourself that you don’t need money to be happy then you probably never will have money. It’s all about your mindset – put yourself in a poor mindset and you will end up poor! If you have money, you can use it to your advantage to make you a happier person.
So in fact, money does buy you happiness to some degree.
