The difference between the rich and the poor

The difference between the rich and poor

There is one major difference between the rich and the poor that sets them apart – the rich find solutions to problems where the poor blame the world and everyone around them for their problems.

  • “My employer doesn’t pay me enough”
  • “I do all the work and make my boss rich”
  • “I don’t get paid what I am worth”
  • “The economy is bad, which is why I don’t have enough money”

Have you ever spoken to rich people and to poor people? Within the first 5 minutes you can usually tell whether they have money or not. It’s not about the clothes they wear – it’s about the words that comes out of their mouths.

Let’s take some of these statements and discuss why it’s an utterly stupid thing to say:

“My employer doesn’t pay me enough”
Well he takes on all the risk which is fair. If you don’t like the salary you are getting then maybe you should have never accepted the job in the first place.

“I do all the work and make my boss rich”
Well that’s why he is rich isn’t it? We all have the exact same amount of time. The fact that your boss uses it better than you makes him clever I guess. Be honest – if you could trade places with him – wouldn’t you want to be in his shoes?

“I don’t get paid what I am worth”
Stop wasting time on nonsense like TV and learn a skill so you can get paid what you are worth. The reason you are not being paid enough is because you don’t have a skill valuable enough to justify it.

“The economy is bad, which is why I don’t have enough money”
Did you know that when the economy is bad, money doesn’t disappear? It’s still there. It just moves from one place to another. People will always have needs. If you can service those needs, you will make money – even in recessions.

So why do people complain?

I don’t know – I guess you can argue that it’s because of their role models growing up, their parent’s which was the influence, their circumstances, their race, their neighborhood etc.

It really doesn’t matter!

What matters is that every single person has a choice. If you choose to blame the world for your problems then you need to expect problems to keep finding you. The world is energy and what you think, you become.

Next time you want to complain about something, rather ask yourself “What can I do about it”.

In the $MONEYSECRET, we explain how you should overcome these thoughts and how you should replace it. Give it a try now and watch the first chapter for free.
